Mare Information



VETERINARIAN who will carry out the insemination:





A copy of the mare’s registration papers must be attached to this agreement. The fees are as follows:

$6,000.00 , payable on the date of the invoice done after this contract signed and non-refundable

live foal guarantee, taxes, shipment and cost for the health certificate excluded

The Seller will release the straw when this contract will be signed, and the first invoice paid.

+ $500.00 per transferred or vitrified (frozen) embryo payable at the latest before the end of each year

+ $0 for the 1st foal born

+ the advertised stallion fee of the year for each additional foal born immaterial of when, for whom and where it is achieved

The Purchaser agrees to breed the mare specified and this one shall be bred through the use of an intracytoplasmic sperm injection (“ICSI”)

procedure into the cytoplasm of a mature oocyte, which physically causes fertilization.

The breeding fee provides 1 straw of frozen semen of DIAMANT DE SEMILLY (identification n° …………….………………………...filled in by Broker ) in order to obtain a

pregnancy via ICSI. Any additional straw will be subject to another breeding fee.

It will solely be the responsibility of the Purchaser to pay all the other nomination fees for OPU, ICSI, vitrification of the embryos, storage and so on.

It is also the Purchaser’s responsibility to notify before the end of each year the Seller the following:

  • Dates the ICSI procedure are performed.
  • The total number of embryos produced.
  • The number of embryos transferred, and the number of embryos vitrified.
  • The facility where the ICSI is performed, the facility where the embryos were transferred into a recipient mare, and the facility where vitrified embryos are stored (if applicable).
  • The sale or transfer of any embryos. In case of sale, the purchaser remains fully liable and the new buyer must be advised of this contract, agree with it and sign it. A copy of this new contract must be sent by the purchaser to the seller with return receipt.
  • the quantity of frozen semen which remains from the frozen straw provided.

Notification to the Seller of any items after December 31th of each year will incur a $ 300.00 late fee.

This contract provides for one (1) Breeder’s Certificate. To obtain other Breeder’s Certificates if multiple embryos are retrieved from the use of this straw, it will be the responsibility of the Purchaser to notify the Seller of number transferred or vitrified, notify the Seller of the birth of the foal within 48h and pay the fees for each. The Certificate will not be issued if the Purchaser’s account has not been paid in full. The Seller is responsible for signing the Breeder’s Certificate. The Purchaser commits to check that no foal’s birth is declared to any studbook before receiving his Certificate signed by the Seller.

This contract is non-transferable nor assignable without prior written consent from the Seller.

If it should become necessary for the Seller to retain the services of an attorney to enforce its rights under the terms of this contract, including but not limited to the collection of any sums due, the Purchaser will pay the Seller all expenses and costs, including reasonable and necessary attorney’s fees incurred by the Seller in enforcing this contract. Any dispute related to this contract will be governed by the laws of France with meaningful penalties in case of contract defaults. Attempted fraud committed by the purchaser is punishable by an unconditional fine of €9900.00 Euros in addition to a penalty payment of 10% per year delay since the year when the declaration should have been done by the Purchaser to the Seller to the year when the fraud will be tried.

The Purchaser confirms that he has understood the terms of this agreement and accepts them entirely.
