Blue Hors First Choice is an extremely interesting stallion in every respect! He is a fantastic stallion with a great personality and top level rideability. His pedigree is unique, counting the world’s leading dressage producers Jazz and Negro. His dam line is first-class. First Choice won the qualifier for the Young Horse Championships in Middelfart with 9.52 points! In the preliminary round of the finals, he became vice champion with a score of 9.48 points. In 2015, he qualified for the finals in Odense once more. He also came fifth in the 2016 finals for 6-year-old dressage horses! As a 6-year-old, First Choice had already won his first victories on the dressage course in the M-classes for national competition and will be ready for the Prix St. George during the course of 2017.
From the first crop in 2016, he produced a stallion named Fürst Romanov, who was licensed in Westphalia. This horse was also appointed to a premium stallion and is stationed in NRW Landgestüt in Warendorf, Germany for the 2017 season.
His sire Jazz produced many Grand Prix- horses, including Parzival, World Cup winner, Olympic silver medallist and three-time European champion.
First Chioce’s dam, the elite mare Vurona was successful at intermediate level in the Netherlands. She produced no less than six offspring for the foal auctions in Borculo and in 2012, one of her foals became the most expensive foal and was sold for 40,000 Euro at the Borculo Foal Auction. This foal, called High Five U.S., is now KWPN licensed and was 2nd in the 2015 Ermelo performance test.
Wurona is a daughter of Negro, which was very successful with Anne van Olst before an injury put an end to his promising dressage career. Negro is a highly sought-after stallion, among others, he has sired the current European Champion, World Champion, World Cup winner and double Olympic gold medalist from London 2012, Valegro, which, with British Charlotte Dujardin in the saddle, has resisted all competitors in the past 3-4 years. The stallion Vincent in the third generation was even successfully up to Grand Prix.
