  • 2nd Runner-Up at the Oldenburger licensing in Vechta 2014.
  • Premium stallion in Herning in 2015.
  • A stallion where type, movement, and pedigree are at a higher level.
  • Very good performance in the matrilineal line in both dressage and jumping.

Blue Hors Zalabaster was really impressive with his first crop of foals. Incredibly smart and homogeneous foals with good movement, where the ambling gaits of the hind legs in particular should be emphasised. The filly, Straight Horse Zarina, was sold at an elite foal auction held at Vilhelmsborg for a top price of DKK 200,000.

Blue Hors Zalabaster made his entrance at the 2015 stallion licensing in Herning with a “look at me” attitude and generally demonstrated his extraordinary qualities throughout the entire licensing. Exterior, gaits, interior, and dam line are all top-notch. Especially the lunge-work was of a quality rarely seen. Balance, self-carriage, walk, trot, and canter were all extraordinary. It was highly deserved that Zalabaster was proclaimed premium stallion.

Zalabaster did not disappoint anyone at the 35-days performance test in the autumn. Constantly with a positive attitude and great motivation, he finished the test with 876 points, receiving 9’s in canter, rideability, and capacity – results that speak for themselves. Zalabaster won the 2016 Danish Equestrian Federation’s (Dansk Ride Forbund) 4-year-old qualification in Billund, but sadly, a minor injury prevented him from competing in the semi-final.

Blue Hors Zalabaster became 2nd Reservesieger of the Oldenburg stallion licensing in Vechta in 2014. The international press of the industry described him as the one stallion in the licensing with the greatest quality for the grand sport! His dam line has already given several Grand Prix horses, stallions and the champion mare in Oldenburg in 1994, the Donnerhall-daughter Hallo. Licensed stallions from this dam line are Lord Leatherdale, Pik Ramiro, Prinz Miro and Prinz Oldenburg (winner in 4* -GP under Holger Wulschner.).
