Catoki has succeeded in combining, in an incredible manner, an international career in show-jumping with an excellent breeding career. Tall, with big paces and very talented in jumping, he is in the typical image of his sire Cambridge and grand-sire Caletto I. A high degree of elasticity and fascinating jumping qualities are a matter of course with this pedigree. In 2003 Catoki was the Vice-Champion of German five-year-old show-jumpers in Warendorf. In 2004, he was able to seamlessly continue this success record and was fifth in the German final of six-year-olds. In 2006, he was regional Champion of Weser-Ems and won the Grand-Prix of Rastede. In 2008, he was successful in several Grand-Prix classes with Jörg Naeve, including in Münster, Pforzheim, Falsterbo/SWE, Sommerstorf and Donaueschingen. In front of his home audience, they won the Grand-Prix of Altenhof and the 3-star final at the regional championships in Bad Segeberg. Philipp Weishaupt then competed Catoki at international level, including in Calgary (CAN) and Hickstead (GBR), at the World Cup in Bordeaux (FRA) as well as the Grand-Prix of Vigo (ESP), and they were second in the World Cup in Helsinki (FIN). Up until an advanced age, he was successful at international level with the amateur rider Emil Hallundbaeck (DEN), often in direct competition with this own offspring, as Catoki was, from a young age, an exceptional sire: In 2007, he was second of all German stallions according to the FN breeding valuation and has been able to keep this position up to now.

 Catoki’s offspring are characterized by their strong type and their performance predisposition. 36 sons have been licensed so far, including the amazing premium stallion and performance test winner Carrico/Oliver Lazarus, as well as Capron, Catox, Caldo, Cador, Cascall, Catall, Catokis Cannon/Karin Ernsting and Canoso. Catoki’s descendants are often highly placed at the German championship finals. 90 of his descendants have so far been successful at S level and the lifetime earnings of his descendants amount to almost 2 million euros. The most famous descendants are Contanga 3/Andre Thieme, Caprys 2/Christian Kukuk, Carriere 7/Daniel Deußer and Catokia 2/Philipp Weishaupt.

His sire Cambridge was Vice-Champion of Germany in 1993 and internationally successful at S level. As well as Catoki, his other son Chambertin made the paternal genome virtually immortal by producing Chacco-Blue. His dam Blinka also produced with Coriall the sire Casco W and with Cantus, the internationally successful show-jumper Calvano/Susanne Behring. His dam-sire Silvester was one of the most important Holstein show-jumping sires of his generation. Over 80 of his descendants were successful at S level. Silvester also imposed himself in dressage breeding, by producing the Team silver medalist at the Olympic Games in 2000 in Sydney, Silvano N/Ellen Bontje/NED. Grand-dam Vordula is also the dam of the stallions Lago and Laurenz. With the line founder Cor de la Bryère, the highly-valued half-blood Freeman xx and the thoroughbred Meteor xx, his pedigree is impressively extended. Catoki descends from the Holstein mother line 4705, which produced many sport horses at international level, including Can Do/Kenneth Cheng (HKG), 30 licensed stallions, including the licensing champion Rocadero, as well as Carrico, Chalan, Catover, Con Sillas, Con Spirit/Daniel Dassler, Laurenz, Levantos I (licensing Reserve-Champion, privately-owned Oldbg.), Levantos II (licensing Reserve-Champion, Vice-Champion of Germany, privately owned SWE), Orleandro (privately owned Holst.), Racord (Ldb. Schwaiganger) and Ripley K (privately owned Bavaria).
