Show jumping World Championship finalist and international shooting star

Cosmos Z was licensed in Zangersheide and gave a taste of his outstanding jumping abilities in 2018 with Jan van Dyck/BEL at the World Championships for five-year-old show jumping horses, where he easily reached the final. He then continued his career in the Youngster Tour and has been placed in international competitions with Emanuele Camilli/ITA and Eiken Sato/JPN.

His first, very promising foals were born in Belgium.

Chellano Alpha Z competed in show jumping with Jos Lansink/BEL. His most successful offspring include Calvados Z, ridden by Christian Ahlmann and the World Cup finalist H&M Challenge vd Begijnakker Z/Ludo Philippaerts/BEL. Chellano Alpha Z, who passed away at a young age, was the first stallion to be cloned. His clone Chellano Alpha Z produced four other licensed sons besides Cosmos Z, including Capuccino JW vd Moerhoeve Z. His first offspring are placed in international competitions.

His dam Aida Z produced three more licensed stallions in Belgium, Air Borne Z (by Air Jordan)/Emanuel Andrade/VEN, Cartos Z (by Candillo)/Nick Benterman/GBR and Sleipnir Z (by Solid Gold Z). Ceazor Z (by Concord Z)/Tariq Khrisat/JOR has also been placed in international competitions.

The Hanoverian dam’s sire Loro Piana Artos Z participated twice in the World Cup Final with Mark Leone/USA. He himself is a son of Almé Z, which leads to an interesting inbreeding of this legendary line founder in Cosmos Z’s pedigree. Even though Artos Z did not produce many offspring due to his sport career, almost all of them competed at high level, such as his daughter As Cold As Ice Z, who was bronze medallist at the World Championships for young show jumping horses as a seven-year-old and was part of the victorious Belgian team at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona/ESP in 2015 with Judy Ann Melchior/BEL. His five sons Action Z, Amadeus Z, Rothchild, Acardi du Houssoit Z and the premium stallion Aristo Z were licensed and were internationally successful.

His grand-dam Cherry Z was placed in international 1.60m show jumping competitions. She produced the international show jumping horses Carry Z/Judy-Ann Melchior/BEL, Careko Z (both by Caretano Z)/Angelique Rüsen and Cybele Z (by Comme il faut)/Kirsten Rombouts/BEL. Her daughter Carry Z (by Caretano Z) produced the stallions Astano Z (by Asca Z) and Copycat Z (by Comilfo Plus Z).

Carthago, who appears in the third generation, took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta/USA and Sydney/AUS with Jos Lansink/BEL. He also won the Nations Cups in Aachen, Rotterdam/NED and La Baule/FRA and is considered one of the most influential sons of Capitol I in breeding.

His great-grand-dam Alpha Z produced the four licensed stallions Robin I Z/Peter Eriksson/SWE, Robin II Z /Thomas Velin/DEN (both by Ramiro Z), Quasimodo Z (by Quick Star) and Chimba Z (by Caretano Z).

Hanoverian line of Norbilla, from which descend numerous top show jumping horses and stallions such as Chester Z (by Carthago), Caesarro Z (by Carthago), Carlo Z (by Caretano Z), Cosmic Z (by Carthago), Cracky Z (by Caretano Z), Cartree Z (by Caretano Z), Alnok Z (by Atlantus Z), Obelisk-B Z (by Ovatio), Dejan HMD Z (by Diamant de Semilly), Casper Z (by  Carthago), etc.
