The large black stallion Delatio had a great start in 2017: With Bianca Kasselmann and Emile Faurie (GBR), he was victorious and highly placed in international Grand-Prix classes and won the traditional German dressage Derby with changes of horses in Hamburg-Klein Flottbek. At the traditional international competition before Christmas in Olympia in London, he was highly placed several times amongst big competition with over 82%.
Delatio – already champion of his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in his younger years now appeals with progeny who have been successful up to high level and have placed their sire amongst the top group of the FN breeding valuation (144 points).
In his pedigree, he unites the “classics” of dressage horse breeding: His late sire De Niro led the WBFSH world dressage ranking for years and dam sire Rubinstein I, originating from Oldenburg, opened up a new era in worldwide dressage horse breeding. He was internationally successful with Martina Hannöver, Heike Kemmer and Nicole Uphoff and produced 219 horses placed in S level dressage competitions, many of them being successful up to Grand Prix.
Diplomat, in the third generation, was the most-awarded stallion at national competitions and DLG agricultural trade fairs of all times. His great grand dam comes from a full brother and sister crossing and therefore brings double the blood of the valuable thoroughbred Wiesenbaum xx into the pedigree. Delatio represents the mare family 262/Donauharfe (Doktorand I-Antritt-Antonius-Sporck-Schwabenpreis etc.), which comes from Hanover, is rich in tradition, and whose origins go back to the first half of the 19th century. Several licensed stallions and the successful sport horses Liebelei 9/Helga Köhler and Antony FRH/Isabell Werth are the most famous horses from this line.
