Under his rider Pedro Veniss, this exceptional stallion confidently completed all the jumping events in Rio and came 16th at the 2016 Olympics. At the end of the year, Quabri de L’isle won the CSI***** (1.60m) in Geneva.
Sire Kannan carries the blood of all important show jumping sires in Europe. Voltaire, Furioso, Nimmerdor, Gotthard, Farn, Le Mexico, all the great forerunners of modern jumping horse breeding. Kannan is clearly a product of his genes. He himself is also known to have been highly successful in sport. Kannan won the Deauville Grand Prix and in 2004 in Paris Kannan won Bercy and Jardy as well as many other competitions. He was a permanent member of the French team that won the Samsung Super League in 2003 and 2004.
In 2005 he became French National Champion. With the victory of Nino des Buissonets with Steve Guerdat in the individual show-jumping at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Kannan topped all of his previous hereditary successes. Quabri de L’isle Dam Dinastie de L’isle is one of the most famous mares in France and descends from Socrate de Chivre, who is very popular on the dam’s side. She produced several international show jumpers, including Kalin de L’isle and Lavande de L’isle by Urbain Du Monnai, as well as Message de L’isle by Cacao Courcelle.
The dam line has already produced several licensed stallions in France. Quibus de Coquerie, Pendjad du Riou, Quieros du Riou, Camee de L’isle, Nobel V, Gadget du Banney, Idaho de Kerser, Darwin du Parc, Haudanum du Parc, Urga, Derby de L’isle and Diamant Rouge II.
