Very few stallions have managed to become a legend during their lifetime. Sandro Hit is therefore almost unique and his production of epochal importance in world dressage horse breeding. He has almost created his own “label”: Descendants of Sandro Hit are high in blood, modern, harmonious, equipped with excellent movement and a fascinating appearance. They conquered the scene and made their sire a foundation stallion of modern times. Sandro Hit was himself an amazing German national champion, World Champion of six-year-old dressage horses and trained up to Grand Prix. His heredity is full of superlatives never seen before: Top prices at auctions from foals up to ridden horses, 186 licensed stallions, amongst them several champion stallions, championships winners and numerous Grand Prix winners. And 2016 was another special year in the life of this production hero: He crowned his breeding performances, that so far were already unique in every regard, with two Olympians in Brazilian Rio de Janeiro, who both won precious metal. With Dorothee Schneider, Showtime FRH was part of the German gold-medal team in dressage, after he became German Champion in the Grand-Prix freestyle and vice-champion in the Grand-Prix Special. Santano II was team bronze-medalist with Christopher Burton (Australia) in eventing. Sandro Hit has produced twelve German national champions; in 2016, Sisters Act completed the dozen when she became champion of four-year-old mares and geldings. Since 2016, Sandro Hit ranks among the prize-money millionaires (167 descendants have registered dressage S level successes) and is currently third of the dressage WBFSH world ranking.
Starting at the Schockemöhle Station, the global equine triumph of Sandro Hit and his progeny began. Up until 2015, 1,231 of his daughters were registered as broodmares in Germany and 277 distinguished with the predicate “state premium”. Numerous descendants were top prices at auctions, such as the unforgettable double German champion Poetin sold for 2.5 million euros, German champion San Francisco sold by auction for 580.000 euros, and many others. Over the past few years, he has produced numerous finalists of the Young Dressage Horse World Championships. The premium stallion Sir Donnerhall I won the bronze medal in 2012.
As VTV dressage stallions of the year, the finalists in Nuremberg Burg Cup Sorento OLD (2011) and the multiple Grand Prix winner Sancisco OLD (2009) were particularly honoured at the Oldenburg Stallion Days. From 2010-2012, he won the “USEF/Performance Horse Registry Leading Sire Award” in the USA as the best dressage sire. The sire Sandro Song was champion of his licensing in 1990 and main premium champion 1992. The dam Loretta has handed on excellent genetics to three licensed and important breeding sires, Sandro Hit, the Grand Prix successful Diamond Hit and Royal Hit. World-wide she must be one of the most influential mares of her generation.
