Five-star veteran and full brother to Romanov

Westminster VDL was a five-star performer and boasts a five-star pedigree. The bay jumped at CSIO5* La Baule and is a full brother to five-star Champion Romanov, the former top mount of Ireland’s Bertram Allen.

Westminster VDL is by Heartbreaker, who in 2004 was named an Ambassador to the Belgian breed due to his successes as both a competitor and stallion. In addition to Romanov, Heartbreaker has sired the likes of Toulon, Quasimodo van de Molendreef, Zidane, and others, and in 2006 was the KWPN Horse of the Year.

Westminster VDL’s dam Narzisse has been an immensely reliable and successful producer, giving birth to recorded foals every year from 1998 to 2007. In addition to Westminster and Romanov, she is the dam of three additional international show jumpers. Kocher is supporting Westminster VDL with his own stock, committing 10-15 mares to the stallion In 2020.​​

In the Grand Prix at Mierlo it was a good result for the 10 year old stallion Westminster VDL and his rider  Suzanne Tepper. The stallion jumped super and finished, with one timefault, in 9th place.

 A direct reflection of his legendary sire plus one of the very best mother lines in all of Europe. International competitor to 1.60m with an amateur rider. Full brother to Bertram Allen’s 1.60m international star Romanov II, full brother to 1.50m jumper Zirkan Van Het Wolferink, and half brother to 1.55m jumper Ariness Van’T Wolferink. He is a modern type with a good mix of rideability, blood and temperament.
